Today’s story is about a man who can see into the future. The passing of time holds no surprises for him. So when his fiancé walked out on him, you were very surprised. “Did you not see the future? Didn’t you know she was going to leave you when you met her?” With a decent amount of pain in his eyes, he assures you “Before I met her I knew this day would come. When I was young I looked deep into my future. I played out all the possibilities in my mind. When I was done, my heart drowned in sorrow. I realized I could never love a woman the way I wanted to. Before I met my ex-fiancé I saw she was going to leave me. Then maybe out of sheer boredom I looked deeper into my future. I looked at what would happen after she left me. Then I comprehended something amazing… after she left me I would be able to meet a woman I could love the way I wanted to. I realized I needed to suffer the bad, so I could truly cherish the good.”

Great post Louis!
ReplyDeleteIf I had to live my life over, I'm sure I'd make a lot of the same choices because they led me to the wonderful people I now have in my life. Keep writing! :)
So True. And its almost like the more we suffer the more we can enjoy the great things. Dude Yur Legend......
ReplyDeleteExcellent thoughts today! I love the way you think and write! I left something for you on my blog today :o)

ReplyDeleteGREAT post!
ReplyDeleteWe need to have bad experiences and learn something about them so we can enjoy more the present relationships.
Although it could be the Hallmark movie I'm watching (which is very good by the way), I have to say your post brought tears to my eyes.
ReplyDeleteIn my own life I've sometimes wondered if I'd ever see the good. Right now when things are REALLY good I have to say that I wouldn't be the same without having gone through the bad.
So very, very, very true!! Everything happens for a reason, even the bad things. It is through these experiences that we can really start to enjoy the relationships that really make our lives worth living to the fullest. Great post!
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me of this. I spent a long time reminiscing on a bad time in my life (the blog you most recently commented actually). This teaches me to be grateful and less regretful, otherwise I wouldn't be able to still love today. <3
ReplyDeleteMy darling...
ReplyDeleteAgain I cherish your words and they act like a becon of light for me :)
For that I'm extremely grateful.
But I think I'll still have to hurt a little more to, for example, get to the words Katie just said.
Thank god I have you guys... to hold, admire and walk on with.
Love,
Oh that rings so true. I need to hold on to that.
