The world attacked and I couldn’t win.It stood against me, and all my sin.
I built a wall, I made it strong.
Pushed friends away ‘til all were gone.
Now I’m protected, I have nothing to fear.
The world can’t touch me nor even come near.
I hear someone calling just outside the wall
It sounds inviting, should I answer the call?
“Go away! You are not welcome here!”
I can’t be weak, I won’t live in fear.
A powerful wall is all the world will see,
But on the inside loneliness becomes me.

The world is not a place where you can afford to be weak. But if you’re not willing to be vulnerable once in a while, no one will be able to get close to you. It can be very safe, but not much of a life. Consider letting people in, even if it makes you vulnerable.
