You had good intentions, but the world didn’t. Your little seed was cast aside and fell on barren land. Miraculously you sprung roots. Hidden away in the shadow the warm rays of the sun seldom reach you. In barren land surrounded by sand and stone... you blossom. You are rooted in a place no one would wish for. Take heart, any other flower would not have survived. You are the only you. No one can live like you live, love like you love, and blossom like you blossom. But now there’s a storm coming and you can’t move. Please don’t wither away... bloom.
Furious winds are tugging and tearing at you. Your roots are being torn from the soil. I think you’re fading. I want to uproot you and give you a home. But I won’t. You’re a flower that only blooms in the shadow. This storm will not break you. You will not wither away... you’ll flower.
wow, this was beautiful louis x
ReplyDeleteSometimes, I feel just like this flower. The storm is coming (or sometimes, it's already there) and I'm weaponless without any protection; there is nothing I can do about it.
ReplyDelete*sigh*
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteYou perfectly wrote down the "value" of uniqueness.
Love,
I can relate a lot to this flower--hidden in some deep dark places but always letting the light in....
ReplyDeletemaybe we all are
great post <33
Wow. that is so intense. I LOVE this. Wow.
ReplyDeleteMakes me wonder if you had me in mind when you wrote this...You truly know how I feel at this time and what a beautiful way you have expressed it. (((Hugs)))
ReplyDeleteLouis....are you talking 'bout me again?!?! =)
ReplyDeleteIn all seriousness, you spoke to me once again today with your writing.
It is in the shadow that rare beauty can be appreciated and is needed most. We all want to be in the sun, but in the shadow, we can truly make a difference! Beautiful post as always, Louis!
ReplyDeleteThere is beauty in the writing as well.
ReplyDeletei don't know which is more beautiful, the words or the meaning...wonderful flow with warm sentiments.
ReplyDeletethank you for stopping by my blog -- please comment (favorable or not) next time. i will be back to read more from you...

ReplyDeleteI thought it funny that so many people thought you wrote this about them and then I realized that most women could relate to feeling like this at times. a beautiful way to describe the pain of our existence.
ReplyDelete'Hidden away in the shadow the warm rays of the sun seldom reach you.' This is the only part I am puzzled over. Ah I am just thinking, maybe better if there was a comma after 'shadow'.Yes?
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely piece though, you. I am liking such muchly.
